Women in Mobility: Interview with Christina Maria Polleti

Jul 25, 2019

Christina is the co-founder and Managing Director of Cluno. She has 15 years of experience in the automotive and online industries. Before founding Cluno in 2016, Christina and her co-founders were the brains behind easyautosale.com, which was successfully sold to Autoscout24 in 2015.

Christina Maria Polleti has been a part of the mobility industry ever since she started her first job at Porsche Germany. After working in corporate communications at Porsche, she co-founded easyautosales in 2010. The platform was later successfully sold to AutoScout24 where she then became Senior Business Development Manager. In 2016 she became co-founder and Managing Director at Cluno and Centia Invest.

Cluno is a platform that offers car subscriptions. Customers are able to choose from a broad range of models – whether it's an Opel Corsa or a Porsche Cayenne. After subscribing, customers can use the car for a set amount each month and do not have to worry about insurance, registration, and maintenance. Also, Cluno-users can easily use their car for several years, or decide to switch after just six months.

Five Questions for Christina Maria Polleti

Why are you a member of Women in Mobility?

Mobility is the core business of Cluno and therefore part of my day-to-day. Women in Mobility is a great platform to share ideas and meet inspiring people. Both are essential for me to keep up with industry trends and customer needs.

What fascinates you about mobility?

Mobility affects all of us. Everyone wants to be on the move and the needs and demands for creative mobility concepts are in constant flux. At Cluno, we want to deliver a tailor-made mobility solution that meets many different requirements in a flexible way.

Why do we need more women in the mobility industry?

I'd rather not confine myself to women. Every industry needs decent talents, regardless of gender.

„Every industry needs good talent, regardless of gender. “

Which career advice would you give your 20 year old self?

Looking back, I am more than happy with the professional choices I have made and the career path I have chosen. I think many things I did turned out to be right for me. If there was one thing, then maybe I should have started my own business way earlier.

Which Woman in Mobility inspires you?

There are so many great women in the mobility business that it's impossible to choose only one.
