Dr. Tom Kirschbaum is Co-Founder and CEO of door2door. The Berlin-based technology company supports municipalities in identifying gaps in their public transport networks and offers digital on-demand bus concepts to close them - in this way the volume of individual traffic can be reduced considerably. As an entrepreneur, Tom is driven by the desire to reconcile social interest in a mobility transition with sustainable commercial success. He is fascinated by the possibilities that digital technologies offer. After completing a bank apprenticeship, Tom studied and received his PhD in law at the University of Bonn and the LSE. After a period as assistant to the board of a large German bank, he was a member of the executive committee of the University of Witten/Herdecke. Tom is committed to the interests of the start-up and technology industry. Among other things, he is deputy chairman of the advisory board “Junge Digitale Wirtschaft” at the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy and a member of the advisory board of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA).
