He received a Bachelor degree and a Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ljubljana, respectively in 1990 and 1996. After completing PhD study at the University of Ljubljana. In 1996, he joined Iskratel, a leading telecommunication vendor in the EU. Within Iskratel, he took engineering roles and management responsibilities in RD, product and innovation management, and business development.
He is currently the managing director of the Research Center for ICT and the Director of Sintesio, the ETSI co-founded and endorsed interoperability test laboratory for next-generation ICT products and services. Under his leadership and in cooperation with global standardization bodies and leading ICT industry forums, Sintesio co-organized and hosted several global interoperability test events, among others also the eCall Plugtests™ in 2017 and 1st NG eCall Plugtests™ in Autumn 2020. Since 2018, he and his co-workers are engaged in ETSI and in the sAFE project in the area of NG eCall technical specifications drafting and testing standards development and its validation.
