As inhouse counsel at Group Legal of the Volkswagen AG Nina is responsible for the regulatory law aspects of autonomous driving. During her education and training at the University of Passau (Germany), the Monash University (Australia) and the Higher Regional Court Düsseldorf she specialized on IP Law. She gathered intercultural experiences in London, Brussels, Colombia and Ecuador. As senior associate at Bird & Bird she handled international patent litigations from various industries. Her enthusiasm for technology, processes and law led Nina in 2014 to the development department of the Volkswagen AG where she built up a group wide know-how protection system. Upon changing to the legal department her expertise in product processes made her the lead lawyer for the product compliance management system. Nina`s current work focuses on the industrialization of highly automated driving functions. As legal expert in the field of autonomous driving Nina is active member of automotive associations OICA and VDA and makes academic contributions to international conferences as well as to a practitioner's guide on artificial intelligence.
