In the Ministry of Transport and Mobility Transition of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg Mrs. Kirsten Pfaue is responsible for all activities concerning the mobility transition to achieve the goal of distinctly strengthening ecomobility. Total new dynamics within the City of Hamburg have arised by her appointment as Hamburgs´ first coordinator for bicycle traffic in 2015 as well as the entering of the alliance of bicycle traffic under her leadership in 2016. The alliance of bicycle traffic is currently under evaluation and will be continued, replenished by topics as pedestrian traffic, increasing coordination with the Hamburg wide launched public transport offensive, and residential construction.
Kirsten Pfaue is member of the administrative board of the Hamburger Landesbetriebs für Verkehr. She studied Law in Hamburg and Bordeaux and worked as an lawyer in Berlin and Tel Aviv before joining the Public Administration of the City of Hamburg in 2009. She´s specialized in mediation.
Kirsten Pfaue is married and has a 6-year of daughter.
From 2008 to 2014 she voluntarily fulfilled the position as a member of the board of the German Cyclists Association in Hamburg, among them 4-years as Head of the Board.
