Fabian Hemmert is a design researcher. He was born and raised in Germany. During his studies towards a B. Sc. degree in Media Design at Bielefeld University and a M. A. degree in Interface Design at Potsdam University of Applied Sciences, he worked for Nintendo of Europe and Marvel Comics. He holds a doctorate in engineering (Dr.-Ing.) from the Berlin University of the Arts. Fabian worked as a researcher at the the Design Research Lab at the Berlin University of the Arts.
Today, Fabian is a professor for Interface and User Experience Design at the University of Wuppertal. His research focuses on new ways of interacting with technology.
Fabian is an internationally renowned innovator in mobile telecommunication, having presented his work at multiple visionary events, including TED, CeBIT, Lift, the EuroVision TV Summit, the Chaos Communication Congress, and SXSW.
