"Dr. Janett Fahrenholz, LL.M. (Auckland) is Head of the Regulatory Law Department at Volkswagen AG. She advises on all legal requirements regarding the development and production of vehicles. Her international work focuses on questions related to vehicle technology, automated driving, cyber security and emissions law.
Janett holds a PhD from the University of Leipzig (Germany) and a Master's Degree in Commercial Law (First Class Honours) from the University of Auckland (New Zealand). She was admitted to the German Bar in Wiesbaden. Various stays abroad led her to a law firm in the USA, to the European Parliament and the European Commission in Brussels/Strasbourg and to Prague. Janett Fahrenholz began her professional career as a lawyer at the international law firm Clifford Chance. She later worked for the Ministry of Economics of Lower Saxony, an energy company and AUDI AG. She was honored with the award ""European Litigation Counsel of the Year 2018"" for her international experience in the field of product liability and litigation. Janett Fahrenholz is a board member of the ""German-American Lawyers Association"" and a member of the ""International Association of Defense Counsel""."
