> Dr. González received the master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain, in 2008 and 2013, respectively, focused on 2G, 3G, and 4G cellular systems.
> In 2014, he joined Aalto University, Finland, and served for over 3 years as post-doctoral researcher serving as lecturer of wireless communications courses at Master level and conducting research on radio access network modeling and optimization for cellular networks.
> In 2017, Dr. González joined the Panasonic Research and Development Center, Germany, where he served as Research Engineer and delegate in 3GPP’s 5G standardization in the Technical Specification Group Radio Access Network.
> Since May 2018, Dr. González is with Continental AG, Germany, and serves as Senior Research Engineer. His duties include:
o serving as delegate in 3GPP’s 5G and 4G and 5G-based Cellular V2X standardization,
o project management for innovation projects in the field of V2X and Wireless Communications, and
o conducting developments of in-house technology and basic research in several areas of wireless communications with impact on vehicular communications.
> Dr. González is Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Professional Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and actively support academia from his industry position as reviewer of several important journals, acting as member of Technical Committees of scientific conferences, and preparing and evaluating research proposals.
> Dr. González is author or co-authors of more than 50 scientific publications and patents applications and has participated in several National and European research projects in Spain, Finland, Canada, and Germany.
