Andy Bruckschloegl started his first business at the age of 12, selling backpacks on eBay. One year later he founded his first online shop. In order to promote this better, Andy began to learn how to optimize websites for search engines.
Together with Marcus Tandler, Jan Hendrik Merlin Jacob and Niels Doerje, Andy Bruckschloegl founded Ryte (formerly OnPage.org) in July 2012 – an innovative software for website quality management and -optimization. Today, the bootstrapped company counts more than 100 employees.
Since 2014 Andy founded and hosts the Bits & Pretzels event together with Dr. Bernd Storm van’s Gravesande and Felix Haas. The event has grown rapidly to a 3-day festival taking place at Munich’s famous Oktoberfest with more than 5.000 attendees from around the world. Including speakers like Barack Obama, Sir Kevin Spacey, Sir Richard Branson, Nathan Blecharczyk and many more.
Andy Bruckschloegl was appointed as a member of the Advisory Board of Bayern Digital, which has been convened by the Bavarian State Minister of Economics Affairs. He was listed in the Forbes 30 under 30 Europe list in 2019.
