The IAA for children
Driver’s license for children, a giant-sized play area and the serpentine Carrera race track for gripping model races – the program of the IAA offers children and teenagers a wide range of fun activities.
The Carrera Fun Tour at the IAA
Carrera is once again setting up its XXL race tracks at this year’s IAA. The trade fair marks the start of the Carrera Fun Tour 2017. On the Agora at the New Mobility World, young visitors can choose between exact miniature copies of the original DTM and the “Cars 3” edition, and try to reach the finish line ahead of the other competitors. The races will take place every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the Carrera “Go track” and on the “Digital-132 track.” All the participants will be entered in a draw to win a trip to Disneyland Paris for four people for two nights. And those who post their IAA photo of Carerra or one from the Carrera “photo box” using the hashtag #carreramoments and #IAA2017 on Instagram or Facebook also have the chance of winning great prizes.
The IAA children’s movie theater
In cooperation with Frankfurt’s CineStar Metropolis movie theater, the IAA is once again offering its youngest visitors the popular IAA children’s movie theater from September 16 to 24. Children aged from five to 11 are welcome to leave the hustle and bustle of the IAA outside and watch their movie heroes while enjoying popcorn and cold drinks. There will be three showings every day, at two-hour intervals: at 12.00 noon, 2.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. The following films (in German) will be screened: „Ice Age 5“, „Big Friendly Giant“, „Conny & Co“, „Rico Oskar Part 3“ und „Robbi Tobbi und das Fliewatüüt“. The movie theater is in Room Brillanz in Hall 4.2. The movie program will be posted there. Admission is free. By the way: adults have access to the children's cinema only in attendance of a small visitor!
Eintracht Frankfurt’s “Fan world”
The Agora is also the location for the large “Fan world” of Frankfurt’s local premier football team, Eintracht Frankfurt. It offers the youngest exhibition visitors games and fun while Mom and Dad take a break. The absolute highlights will be the “Fan mobile” and collecting autographs from members of the team. In addition, there will be a large bouncy castle, table football, goal shooting practice, mini table-tennis tables and a large number of prize draws.
Children’s driver’s license and karaoke
You’re never too young to learn – for this reason children can also get behind the wheel at the IAA. Small electric cars will be available for children aged three to 13 at the driving school run by Hyundai and Legoland on the F10 open-air site – so they can take their first driving test. The driving school circuit is especially designed for children and offers heaps of fun and challenges with traffic signs, real traffic lights and realistic driving situations. And right close by is the “SingIn Car” – a car converted into a karaoke machine. Here the whole family can show off their talent as singers and record their performance on video.
