Truckers wanted!

Every day about 2.8 million commercial vehicles are "on the road" in Germany. In the transport sector, in particular, skilled personnel is in short supply; it is estimated that up to 50,000 truck drivers are lacking. The IAA is thus a meeting place for truckers seeking work and forwarding companies doing hiring. The start-up JobMatchMe located in Pavilion P11 of the New Mobility World offers the online job exchange www.truck-jobs.de aimed at matching drivers and forwarders via a questionnaire. The "job truck' of the HR service provider BHGo Logistik will be parked on the CC grounds. The truck's trailer houses eight PCS on which job-seekers can obtain comprehensive information about job openings for professional drivers. Besides accessing the job portal, users can view educational films produced by the Federal Office for Goods Transport and various manufacturers.

Tickets for truck and bus drivers

Visitors who identify themselves as professional truck or bus drivers to the IAA Ticket Office on the CC grounds can obtain discounted admission tickets. Additional tickets can be obtained from the online ticket shop. A normal day ticket costs 22 euros on workdays and 13 euros on weekends. The special ticket for high-school and college students is only 7 euros. The flexible afternoon ticket – allowing visitors to visit the IAA starting at 1 p.m. on workdays for only 10 euros – is on offer again. With an IAA season ticket for only 69 euros, visitors can explore the world of commercial vehicles during the entire IAA.

Discover the many different educational and job opportunities waiting for you at the IAA Commercial Vehicles from 20 to 27 September 2018 in Hannover.
