VDA President Bernhard Mattes will welcome the guests, Günter Butschek, CEO of Tata Motors, and Martin Schwenk, CEO of Mercedes Benz India, will give a keynote address on the challenges and opportunities of the Indian market. A highlight of the event is the address of the Indian Minister of Heavy Industries & Enterprises, Mr. Arvind Sawant. In the subsequent panel discussion, top managers from the Indian automotive industry will share their assessments of current potentials and challenges. The IAA India Day will be moderated by Bernhard Steinrücke, Director General of IGCC and a proven insider of the Indian market. The Indian government and the GIZ will also be represented. The IAA India Day is organised by the VDA and the Indian partner associations ACMA and SIAM in cooperation with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC).
At the end of the event there will be the traditional Indian lunch "Eat&Meet", this time supported by EAC Consulting. The India-Day offers the opportunity to exchange information and to network. GTAI will also be represented with an information booth (preliminary information for preparation under IAA India-Day.
