The Roadmap to carbon-neutral Mobility

Schedule 04:00 PM–04:45 PM
Location Hall B2, Summit Stage
  • Sustainability
With global mobility demand growing by 70% over the next decade, the industry is set to exceed its estimated carbon budget by 2.5x in 2030. The successful decarbonization of the vehicle use phase through electrification and green energy supply will not be enough. During this session Alexander Holst (Accenture) and Christoph Becker (BMW) discuss how to get from high ambitions to making net zero cars a reality. They cover the pathways to circularity around energy decarbonization, material circulation, lifetime optimization and utilization improvement, and share insights on how creating meaningful progress in circularity will only be possible if the current system is transformed and the ecosystem goes beyond optimizing in industry silos. This panel is hosted by Andrea Thilo and presented by Accenture, partner of IAA Conference.
