Circular Cars: Designing for the Future

Schedule 11:00 AM–11:45 AM
Location Hall A3, Mobility Stage
  • Sustainability
Transport’s global carbon emissions share is increasing. Capping global warming below a devastating 1.5 degrees increase requires a full transition to sustainable mobility. The automotive industry must transition if it is to serve a 2.5x fold increase in road travel demand at net-zero emissions and minimal material usage by 2050. Up to 60% of vehicle lifecycle emissions will come from production and end of life by 2040. This panel will feature leading actors and initiatives that harness circularity to reduce emissions -  from cradle to grave: Which circularity solutions are already at scale? What is the role of regulation - regional, national and local? Where partnerships form and what is their value? This panel is presented by The World Economic Forum, partner of IAA Conference.
