Today, the IAA 2019 opened its gates for the second time for trade visitors. Tomorrow, the IAA opens for the general audience.

Topics of the Day

“What will have the most impact on mobility over the next five years?” - The majority of respondents to a survey of international mobility experts see mobility services as the strongest driver of change. This was the finding of a study conducted by the management consultancy evenson, published in conjunction with the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) to coincide with the IAA. The findings of the survey are available online.

IAA-India-Day - Today, VDA, ACMA, and SIAM hosted the 12th India-Day at the IAA 2019. 160 participants received comprehensive insights into the challenges and chances of the Indian market. A highlight was the speech of the Indian Minister of Heavy Industries & Enterprises, Arvind Sawant, who also made a walking tour of the IAA 2019 in order to see the exhibitors’ innovative strength.

Citizens’ Dialogue “Mobility of the Future” - During the IAA 2019, citizens were invited to get into conversation with representatives from industry, unions, institutions, and politics. The discussion revolved around the question of how the mobility of the future will look like. The lively discussion underliend the citizens’ large interest for this topic.

Suggestion of the Day

Among others, the Luxembourgian Prime Minister Xavier Bettel talked about the chances that accompany digitization, multimodality, and decarbonization today at the IAA Conference. Tomorrow, the IAA Conference will again be the stage for exciting discussions in the Debate Forum. At the center of attention are topics like CO2 pricing and electric mobility. Be there or be square!

Tomorrow at the IAA 2019

On Saturday, high-ranking political guest will visit the IAA 2019. Aside from Anton Hofreiter, Leader of the Alliance '90/The Greens in the Bundestag, Dennis Rohde, MdB, SPD, and Christian Baldauf, Leader of the CDU in the Landtag of Rhineland-Palatinate, will be at the IAA 2019.

Additionally, track bicycle Olympic champion Kristina Vogel will visit the booth of Bridgestone (Hall 8.0, Booth C50) between 01.00pm and 02.00pm and Sophia Flörsch will be at the Debate Forum on the IAA Conference between 11.30am and 12.30pm.
