Show us your driving skills at the IAA 2019! Anybody with a driver’s license valid for passenger cars can have a go.
So you think no one can tell you how to drive a car? Here at “Germany’s best drivers,” Europe’s largest driving safety event, you have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills. This is the 31st time that the trade magazine AUTO BILD and its partners, under the aegis of the German Transport Minister, are searching for the country’s best car drivers. Simply make your way to the west open-air site and register at Stand F1101.
Participants will have to keep a cool head while demonstrating driving skill and nerves of steel. They will face exciting challenges in the areas of theory, practice and safety – fields that Germany’s best drivers should excel in. Our tip: we recommend going on a test drive before taking part in “Germany’s best drivers.” On November 22 the best drivers will travel to Linthe near Berlin for the final, where the top candidates will fight for the title and some attractive prizes. This will be followed in the evening by a gala ceremony.
Several studies indicate that a large proportion of German motorists do not know how well they can see. That has serious consequences, for example the German association of eye doctors estimates that poor eyesight causes around 300,000 road traffic accidents every year. So bad vision is a genuine risk factor when driving. As people’s eyesight usually deteriorates gradually, all motorists should have their eyes examine at least once every two years – for instance by taking advantage of a free eye test in the Apollo-Mobil at “Germany’s best drivers” sponsored by AUTO BILD. It offers everyone free eye examinations and professional advice.
