Daniel Caspary is a German politician and a member of the European Parliament since 2004. He was elected Head of the German CDU/CSU-delegation in 2017 and is, therefore, guest of the National Board of the CDU. Caspary is a member of the Committee on International Trade and served as coordinator of the EPP group between 2009 and 2017. In March 2017, Politico ranked Caspary as 25th most influential MEP out of all 751 members of the European Parliament. The non-governmental organization VoteWatch named Caspary's second-most influential MEP in EU trade policy in November 2016. Caspary is Deputy State Chairman of the CDU Baden-Württemberg. Caspary is married and has four (soon to be five) children.
